Lip lift

Lip lift

A lip lift may be a standalone procedure performed in the operating room or in the clinic under local anesthesia. It is also frequently combined with other facial rejuvenation procedures, such as a face and neck lift.

The incisions for a lip lift are hidden around the base of the nose. A small amount of skin and subcutaneous tissue (fat) is removed. The incision is closed with sutures, which are removed in clinic approximately seven days after the procedure. The net result is a shorter “white” lip (less skin between the nose and the upper lip) and a subtly everted upper lip. Results are very natural and can significantly enhance a cohesive transformation in facial rejuvenation surgery.
